Young Americans

Ask anyone who participated in the Young American’s workshop 3 years ago and they will tell you it is a MUST DO event.  Even if you don’t think you like to sing or dance– YOU WILL LOVE BEING A PART OF THIS.  The workshop starts on Sunday, Sept. 27th in the afternoon, then all day on Monday, Sept. 28th (we don’t have school that day so YAHOO!), and then there will be a rehearsal after school on Tuesday, followed by the performance that night.  Check out their website (below). I’ve linked you up to the registration form, but explore their website, watch their videos and learn more about them.  They offer scholarships and we will help out, too, if the registration fee seems daunting.  This truly is an amazing experience and I wish we could somehow get all of our student body population at RD2 to sign up.  It is open to kids who are in the 3rd grade through high school.  We had kids last time that had to miss a few hours because they were participating in a sport and it all worked out so please don’t think you can’t do it just because of a small conflict.  For more information give me a call– missy 332-3438.  If you don’t want to register on line, I have registration forms and you’ll be able to get them from Amy Hickman at WES once school starts, too.  We need host families– the performers are such great kids, you’ll love getting to know them and each host family gets two free tickets to the show.  Give me a call if you’d like to be a host family.  The Young Americans only come around once every three years and there is no guarantee that we’ll be able to get on their schedule again so don’t let this opportunity slip by!  Register today!!!
